Puma makes ad with Swans fan behind viral Buddy Franklin TikTok video

    The video was picked up by the official AFL social media accounts as well, perfectpcserver with their Facebook account running with the original video and posting: ‘These fan angles are just glorious’.<br>The Puma advertisement shows a sequence of shots of TikTokTackJack ‘training’ to get ready for their big moment of running onto the field to congratulate Franklin.<br>It opens with the initial video and the TikTok user saying: ‘Yeah, that’s me.

    You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.'<br>Then the advertisement features four slogans and a voice over with TikTokTackJack performing training drills in Puma shoes to ensure they were one of the first onto the pitch. <br> Buddy celebrates kicking his 1000th AFL goal.

    Notice he wearing Nike shoes? That hasn’t stopped rival brand Puma from cashing in. <br>It is especially clever marketing considering Puma is not an official sponsor of Franklin. <br>Franklin famously wore Nike footy boots from his debut in 2005 before making the switch to their rival Adidas in 2012.
    In the same season, Hawthorn (Franklin’s club at the time) had parted ways with Puma to also sign with Adidas.<br>However, Franklin was snapped kicking goals in 2021 wearing Asics-branded footy boots and he kicked his 1000th goal wearing the Nike swoosh that was emblazoned on his boots on his debut 17 years ago.

    His wife Jesinta Campbell has also previously done advertising campaigns with Asics. <br>Mack Boots also has a line of footwear ‘inspired by Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin’. <br>
